Join us for a special guest workshop led by traditional Korean Minhwa artist Jeon Young and discover the beauty of Minhwa (Korean Folk Art)—a centuries-old painting tradition known for its vibrant colors and symbolic imagery. Historically, Minhwa paintings were created to express wishes for happiness, prosperity, longevity, and good fortune.
In our first workshop, you'll paint a Camellia (동백꽃), a flower that symbolizes love, faithfulness, and resilience in Korean culture. Along the way, you'll learn about the history, symbolism, and techniques behind this timeless art form while creating a piece of your own to take home.
No prior painting experience is necessary—this workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone interested in Korean culture, traditional art, or simply trying something new.
