This class will be held on Wednesday, November 11 from 5 pm - 7 pm at Grain & Berry (1806 20th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37212)
Explore the delicate beauty of water through watercolor in this beginner-friendly painting class. Students will learn how to create the illusion of a realistic water droplet by studying the way light, color, shadow, and movement interact on the surface of water.
Through guided instruction, you’ll practice controlling water and pigment, building soft and translucent layers, creating smooth gradients, and using subtle shifts in light and shadow to give your droplets a sense of depth and dimension. You’ll also explore highlights and reflected color to capture the way water interacts with its surroundings, bringing each droplet to life on the page.
No prior watercolor experience is needed. All supplies are included, and beginners are welcome.
