This class invites students to take a closer look at everyday fruit in a whole new way—studying both the outside and the inside. By observing real fruit, kids will discover how much detail exists in simple objects, from smooth outer skins to the patterns, seeds, and textures hidden within.
We’ll begin by exploring shape and structure, then move into painting what we see using watercolor. Students will experiment with color mixing, layering, and texture to capture both the surface and interior of their chosen fruit in a creative and expressive way.
Along the way, we’ll focus on observation skills, attention to detail, and seeing familiar objects from different perspectives. Rather than aiming for perfect accuracy, the emphasis is on curiosity and interpretation—turning close-looking into creative expression.
