Celebrate one of Nashville’s most iconic voices with a fun and beginner-friendly Dolly Parton-inspired acrylic painting workshop, hosted by The Open Art Lab at an off-site in Nashville!
During this 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to create a colorful, simplified acrylic portrait inspired by Dolly Parton. So Yeon will walk you through the painting process step-by-step in a relaxed and welcoming environment, making this a great creative experience for both beginners and experienced artists.
Important Project Note: The artwork shown in the advertisement banner is an original acrylic painting created by So Yeon Kim. Students will create a simplified version of So Yeon’s original artwork shown in the advertisement banner. The banner image is provided as an example of the inspiration for the workshop; the finished student artwork will be a simplified interpretation of the piece rather than an exact reproduction. So Yeon will guide the class through an accessible version designed for a beginner-friendly painting experience.
No previous painting experience is necessary, and all painting materials are included.

Tickets for this workshop will be purchased through Eventbrite. The Open Art Lab memberships do not cover this event, as this is a separately ticketed off-site workshop. Members are welcome to attend, but a separate Eventbrite ticket must be purchased.
